    Description

    Job Summary:

    Join the Wisconsin Women's Basketball team as an Assistant Coach! We are seeking an individual with coaching experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and a unique ability to drive team competitive success while prioritizing the personal development and academic achievement of student-athletes.

    Responsibilities:

    • Assist with a Division I Women's Basketball program under the direct supervision of the Head Coach, following NCAA, Big Ten, and University regulations.
    • Recruit prospective student-athletes: 20%
    • Organize and conduct practices: 20%
    • Scout opponents and create game plans: 20%
    • Develop student-athlete skills: 10%
    • Plan and execute player conditioning: 10%
    • Perform administrative and public relations duties: 10%
    • Other duties as assigned by the Head Coach: 10%

    Required: Bachelor's Degree

    Qualifications:

    Preferred:

    • Minimum five (5) years of successful collegiate coaching experience
    • Strong leadership and communication skills

    Ideal candidates should demonstrate:

    • Ability to drive team competitive success while focusing on student-athlete development and academic achievement
    • Excellent communication skills with student-athletes, coaches, and administrators; knowledge of NCAA and Big Ten rules
    • Flexibility in accepting new responsibilities

    Full Time: 100%

    This is a 100% Limited appointment. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience, along with an excellent benefits package. Eligibility to work in the US is required.
