- Controls patient flow in and out of the clinic.
- Performs registration tasks including insurance verifications and updating information.
- Serves as a receptionist and liaison between patients and staff.
- Reviews client forms for accuracy and completeness.
- Maintains a clean and organized work environment.
- Manages files and client database.
- Schedules appointments and communicates effectively with clients.
- Measures key metrics for advanced access.
- Performs other assigned duties.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One year of office experience, preferably in a medical setting.
- Strong customer service background.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and insurances.
- Basic understanding of health insurance plans.
- Good oral, written, and telephone communication skills; Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
- Basic computer skills.
- Typing 40 WPM preferred.
- Must be physically capable of sitting, standing, walking for extended periods.
- Ability to bend, lift, carry files, and sustain computer usage.
- May work at a desk or use the telephone for prolonged periods.
- Office environment may involve stress with time-sensitive tasks.
- Ability to manage difficult situations, staff, and customers effectively.
- May require evening and/or Saturday work.
- Assigned clinic/site may vary temporarily or permanently based on needs.
