    Description


    Job Description

    • POSITION SUMMARY: Supervise and coordinate activities of workers involved in setting up, installing, repairing, and maintaining machinery and equipment.
    • MAJOR POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
      • Direct workers in electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic maintenance, and repair of machinery and equipment.
      • Assist workers in diagnosing malfunctions in machinery and equipment.
      • Direct workers engaged in dismantling, assembling, and installing industrial machinery.
      • Requisition and keep supply of spare parts.
      • Interpret company policies to workers and enforce safety regulations.
      • Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers and assign duties.
      • Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew.
      • Analyze and resolve work problems or assist workers in solving work problems.
      • Initiate or suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
      • Confer with other departments to coordinate activities or repairs.
      • Perform activities of workers supervised.
      • Other duties may be assigned.
    • EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS: High School Diploma or GED. One-year certificate from college or technical school or three to six months related experience/training.
