    Welcome to Shalom House Maintenance Technician Position

    Shalom House is a dedicated provider of supportive housing for individuals living with mental illness in our community. Our mission is to offer safe, affordable, and nurturing environments where residents can thrive and access the resources they need for a fulfilling life. As part of our commitment to excellence, we are currently looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team and ensure the ongoing upkeep of our properties.

    • Conduct routine inspections of properties to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards
    • Perform repairs and maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry work
    • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from residents and staff, prioritizing critical issues
    • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders and inventory
    • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures
    • Assist with the coordination of larger maintenance projects, including renovations and upgrades
    • Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours emergency maintenance situations

    As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a vital role in preserving the quality and safety of our housing facilities. This position requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual committed to supporting our mission of providing quality housing for individuals with mental illness.

    Property Maintenance Technician must have the ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical tasks comfortably.

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Previous experience in building maintenance or related field preferred
    • Strong knowledge of maintenance techniques and procedures
    • Proficiency in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry work
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
    • Compassionate attitude towards individuals living with mental illness
    • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

    Annual Flu vaccination is also required.

    Salary: $23.00 per hour

    Expected hours: 40 per week

    Monday - Friday 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM and On-Call rotation.
