    Job Overview:
    We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as a Director of Business Development. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing strategies that drive growth for our firm across all business lines. This individual will be a key member of our leadership team. This individual should be comfortable coaching and leading teams and individuals while also being hands on in executing the process and efforts.
    The successful candidate should have a proven track record of successful business development within the A/E/C industry, excellent communication and presentation skills, and the ability to work in a fast paced environment. The successful candidate will be pivotal to the business's success.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive business development plan to achieve revenue, new client, and growth objectives.
    • Nurtures leads and fosters relationships to grow top line revenue. Researches clients, identifies key players, and generates interest.
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including partnerships, joint ventures, and collaborations.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders. Builds rapport with existing and prospective clients by conducting timely outreach, follow-up, and tailored services.
    • Identify new opportunities for growth including prime opportunities to pursue.
    • Develop proposals, presentations, and negotiate contracts.
    • Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activity, and potential growth opportunities.
    • Communicate with clients to gauge client satisfaction and new opportunities. Create an environment for repeat business.
    • Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to network and generate leads.
    • Be forward thinking and identify key hires, skill sets, or titles that need to be hired for the company to reach its growth objectives.
    • Closely work with the CRM so that contacts are appropriately classified, tagged, and managed for future contact and pursuits.
    • Develop Capture Plans for new opportunities.
    • Strategize and plan around industry events, sponsorship, and Infinite series of events to ensure events are attended and appeal to the client base and are well attended by decision makers.
    • Closely monitors City and State sources for relevant A/E/CM and Construction solicitations to pursue as either a Prime or Subconsultant/Subcontractor.
    • Utilize existing relationships and network to generate new business.
    Qualifications:
    • 8+ years of progressive experience in NYC & NYS construction in Business Development or Project Management role
    • Strong understanding of public works projects and the NYC & NYS based agencies
    • Existing network and relationships in the NYC & NYS construction industry
    • Experience leading or being closely involved in RFP process and bid proposals
    • Ability to think strategically and focus on long term perspective, while not losing sight of short-term goals
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, relationship building skills, and follow through

    Compensation: $100k-$120k base PLUS performance-based bonus comp. (At quota, target compensation should exceed $230k).

    Location: Must be local to the NYC area. Majority of time will be spent building client relationships at client locations.
