    Job DescriptionWe are looking for an Armed Security Lead Officer (Rover) to join our Opa-Locka Team. The address of the property is 13210 Alexandria Dr. POSITION REPORTS TO:Chief Human Resources Officer SCOPE OF THE POSITION:The Armed Security Shift Lead is a Rover Position responsible for overseeing the activities, scheduling, safety and satisfactory performance of all officers on duty. In addition to oversight responsibilities, the Armed Security Shift Supervisor shall Patrol the exterior and interior of a residential apartment complex to prevent unauthorized access, providing access control and protection for tenants and all persons entering the property. The goal of the position is to maintain a safe and healthy environment for all guests and visitors by providing excellent coverage and access control so that limits unauthorized entry and incidents on the property. Additionally, the Shift Lead must be able to handle administrative responsibilities and assist in taking the lead on resolving site concerns that interfere with security operations.

    CURRENT SHIFTS: 8 HOUR SHIFTS (MID OR OVERNIGHT 2P-10P, 10P - 6A, FLEX SHIFTS). ALSO HIRING RELIEF ROVERS FOR CALL OUTS DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following are examples only and are not intended to be all inclusive or restrictive; other duties may be assigned as necessary.
    • Carries out lead responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
    • Assists in the supervision of Security Officers on assigned shift.
    • Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
    • Responsible for the proper execution of assigned duties and that of the security team.
    • Maintains a professional departmental, company and community reputation.
    • Document and maintain a log of any visitors, activities or incidents on the property. Oversee report writing and logs for all officers.
    • Maintains regular, consistent attendance record and monitors the attendance of security officers.
    • Knowledgeable of and adheres to all rules and regulations, policies, orders, and statutes.
    • Review staffing levels and make adjustments as needed to maintain full coverage of posts.
    • Delegate authority and assign responsibilities.
    • Investigate incidents and/or customer complaints, compile data, and write reports for accurate reporting.
    • Provides protection for all employees and guests of the property.
    • Provides overall protection of company assets, including roving the property and patrolling an area for any safety or security risks.
    • Interacts with local law enforcement, staff and management.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    REQUIRED CHARACTERISTICS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily.

    QUALIFICATIONS
    • Must have a minimum of 3 years continuous employment in an armed capacity.
    • Minimum 2 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity(does not have to be security, law enforcement, military (although preferred).
    • Must have current and active D & G license.
    • Must own firearm, duty belt, handcuffs, flashlight.
    • Familiarity with security equipment
    • Able to operate basic technology programs and word processing programs
    • Must have clean driving record, for insurance purposes, to operate company vehicle.
    • Reliable form of transportation
    • First aid/AED certification or willingness to obtain within 6 months.
    COMPENSATION
    • Per Hour (depending upon experience)
